How-To

Google Doc of hundreds of quizzes

GRADECAM
The fastest, easiest way to assess your students
  • Scantron-like
  • Grading limited to objective questions
  • Short answer options
  • Can manipulate the system slightly- ie matching can use the multiple answer function
  • Easily transfers into gradebook- with one button

NEARPOD
An all-in-one solution for the use of mobile devices in education

Step-by-step instructions: http://www.makingtechsimple.com/nearpod (thank you David S. Chan)

Tips:
  • Browser link- hub.new.nearpod.com/j/PIN#
  • Save powerpoint, word, keynote presentations as PDF’s before you drag into nearpod
  • Shareable if you email support and tell them who you want to share it with.
  • Draw it feature- use background image to have kids identify parts of something, diagram a sentence
  • Publish before you push out to students- cannot edit it, but you can clone it and change that unpublished copy

Other interesting apps that I have used in the classroom to assess student knowledge:
Videolicious
Quizlet
Haiku Deck (haven't actually used- but seems fun)
Vocethread
Audioboo
